St. Joseph Mission (“SJM”) is a Mission of Our Lady of Lourder Parish (see About Us). SJM is located at 12456 Boron Ave., Boron, CA (see Contact/Find Us). Boron is in the Western Mojave Desert along Hwy 58 and roughly six miles west of the “Four Corners” intersection with Hwy 395. It is roughly 35 minutes between Our Lady of Lourdes Church and St. Joseph Mission.
Sunday Mass: 8:15 AM (English) .
Confessions: Third Saturday of the month, 1:30-2:20 PM (English and Spanish).

Religious Education (Children & Youth): The religious education program at SJM is led by the Coordinator of Religious Education (“CRE”), to transmit the teachings and customs of the Church, and prepares the children, youth, and their families to celebrate the sacraments of initiation. (Registration is required along with a small fee to cover materials.) There is also a Youth Group, Ignite, for the youth. Classes for Adults include:
• Apologetics Class taught by Fr. Kris Sorenson, Pastor, periodically throughout the school year. Schedule, information, and Fr. Kris' Apologetics Matrix on the Adult Catechesis page.
• Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), Sundays at 9:15 AM. More information on the Adult Catechesis page.
• Bible Study, Wednesdays, 10:00 AM.
• Adult Catechesis Class, Wednesdays, 6:00 PM.
• Estudio Biblico (Bible Study in Español) is also held (check for date and time).

Ladies’ Altar Society: Meetings are held the second Thursday of every month during the school year..
Rosary: The Rosary, both in English (Nave) and in Spanish (Cry Room), is prayed following Mass each Sunday..
Councils/Committees: Representatives from SJM serve on the Parish/Pastoral Council and the Finance Council, as well as the Liturgy Planning Commission (see Parish Life).
